Extra heavy-duty series

The EHD series is a CNC-controlled machine concept of the extreme. It combines high efficiency, great flexibility and robustness as well as largest working widths. It is a gantry cutting machine in extra-heavy design for special challenges such as extraordinary thermal cutting processes.

Our EHD cuts material thicknesses up to 2 m with its special heavy-duty cutting equipment, even when hot or glowing workpieces are involved. All oxyfuel flame cutting processes, bevel aggregates, plasma applications and marking processes can be covered with the EHD. It is available in cutting widths between 5 and 20 m. Cutting lengths can be selected in increments of 2.0 m.

The excellent reliability is achieved by the robust steel frame construction and the air-, or water-cooled double gantry bridge. The necessary rigidity - even for the largest spans and working widths up to 20 m - is thus ensured. Excellent running characteristics result from two torsionally rigid carriages, which are precisely moved by a positive, double-sided longitudinal drive through three-phase synchronous motors and magnetic couplings.
